These are some few things that you can do to improve your imagination and develope better role stories and get a more envolving atmosphere while playing them. 1. Take some references: read books like "The Lord of The Rings" or "Eragon", watch films or series like "Robin Hood" or "the Hobbit" and enjoy other people roleplaying on YouTube
2. Have healthy habits: it sounds like a medical recommanation, but it's true that it will improve your imagination, if you sleep well and eat properly your fantasy world would enlarge itself 3. Go from 0 to 100: do not try to be very imaginative at first, start with some written information and annotations and then remove them procedurally. 4. Use tricks: take always with you some images and audios that help you to relax. When your mind gets white, use them to invent something. They should be suggerent and not very noisy or impactant. 5. Be yourself: do not try to imagine something very far away from your own experience, for example a "pink-flying lion", it would be hard for you. It is better to imagine how you want and not how other peolpe say. If they say "imagine an elf" and you think he has brown hair, do not try to change your way of thinking because they told you to.

Dragons and Dungeons (also know as DnD, Dragons'n'Dungeons or D&D) is the prime role game ever. Even if you do not like role games you would heard at least once about this famous game. If you want to play D&D you need the items in the following list:
1. Role dices (d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20 and d100), they are normally sold in specialist shop or online. 2. The basic guide books (Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide and a Monster Manual) to start. You do not need to read them all, but there is esential information in them. They are quite expensive if you want to buy them, but they are avaible on the net. The easiest to find and best version is the 3.5 guide books. 3. Friends or people interested in DnD, they would possibly became your friends if you spend hours playing this game. 4. Imagination, because there is no pictures, videos or references. To explain how does it work I will write more posts, in this one we are focusing on what Players need to know. Firstly, you should read the begging of Player's Handbook, specially Chapters I, II, III and IV. After that, your team has to choose or find a Dungeon Master, who must read the begging of his/her book, too. Next, meet with your Master to create your Character Sheet, with your character information, like your abilities or your stats. And finally, what you were expecting for, choose a day, when you prefer, and spend a large amount of hours enjoying your Master's campaign. *I recommend you to make your character's personality like yours, so it will be easier to role that a different one. |
