Today I am going to discover you a genre of videogames not well-known but which is my favorite: Base Building games. The main objective in these games is to survive with the rersources given, keeping your inhabitants alive. Resources could normally be obtained by exploiting sources using your own inhabitants, so you could get victory when production is over consumition. The real difficult in these games is based in agglomeration, I mean that normally more inhabitants would progresively appear and increase consumition. Some examples are: Fallout Shelter: based on an alternative story of Fallout games, you live in an underground shelter because a nuclear explosion. There are four resources: food and water (for the people), electricity (for running rooms) and money (for building rooms). It is free to play on Steam and contains an average of 40 hours of gameplay. Oxygen not inlcuded: something more dense and hard to play. You are living in an asteroid randomly created and your goal is to survive as many days as you can. You have to take care of basic human needs as breathing, eating, drinking, pooping, socializing or keeping their bodies warm. Today it is being developed so it contain minor bugs but creators add new content each few weeks. It costs 22€ in Steam.
